Kathy,

It makes my heart sad that you will not be able to make it this year.   :(

I have the arrow that you made and gave to me at last years hunt. It is a very cherished possession of mine. I will carry it on this years hunt,to have your spirit with me. Better yet, I will USE your arrow so that you can hunt with me!!!!! I will shoot that arrow at every bunny that I get a shot at untill it is either lost or broken,then your cherished gift shall stay where it lays. If your arrow manages to survive the entire weekend,I will shoot it into Sunday's setting sun,so that a part of you shall always remain in Selkirk.
I only shoot WOOD arrows... My kid makes them, fast as I can break them!

There is a fine line between Hunting, & Sitting there looking Stupid...

May The Great Spirit Guide Your Arrows..... Happy Hunting!!!

Hey Chuck! How 'bout you kill some bunnies with it, and then put it in the TG St. Jude's auction this year!

Mebbe I can win it back and give it to ya again next year...kinda the Circle thing, eh?   :D

PS, don't make so much snow that folks can't get there!   :eek:
Long, long afterward, in an oak I found the arrow, still unbroke;
And the song, from beginning to end, I found again in the heart of a friend.

Hey Chuck, I will bring my Killy arrow too! Good idea!

Im sure I wont be the only one taking pictures this year, so I think you will have plenty to look at while you cry in your beer.

Having to sit out last year's hunts killed me. Im looking forward to this. Might even be able to hit a rabbit by then if I practice practice practice.

For nostalgia...

Sorry folks, I have been terrible busy. David as you see will handle the food list. I again will have a little donation bucket for the firehouse which lends us a bunch of tables and chairs. You will not know the house this year. We have remodeled the whole thing. New siding and windows and a new kitchen, wait til ya see it. The basement will be the new dining hall but set-up will be the same. For those that have never attended you may start arriving early Sat. morning or if need be Friday evening, just contact me if you want to come in on Friday. We start the day with some coffee, tea or  coccoa and a donuts, danish, etc. We than move to some fun shooting in the yard. We have the arrow munching steel and we are gonna have a surprise shot for ya this year, wait til ya try it!! Anyone attending should ask anyone and everyone to donate something for our raffle. I beleieve we are closing in on 10,000 dollars and that would be something to hit that this year. On the first day the we will again have our youth hunt, which will begin at 10am. Curt(Guru),Damon(Nomad88),Jamie(Ishiwannabe),David(Huntrdfk)and I will accompany the rest of the parents or parent that have a youth to hunt with. Last year I believe the kids shot at least 20 times in the hour we hunted. As soon as we return from this, the rest of us will begin the hunt at around 11:00 to 11:30am. We hunt until dark and than return to the house for our wonderful dinner and than the raffle!! Cindy and my girls will have everything ready on our return. We have snow right now, but for a good hunt we need it than so Chuck keep it up and keep it cold!! There are a few rules for the hunt, everyone must wear something orange or pink or a bright color and no broadheads are allowed. Hex heads and regular old blunts work well as judos tend to catch stuff on the way to the bunny and cartwheel. If ya have a beagle ya want to run bring them along, we will have our usual Sonny and hopefully Elma Fudd this year and yes Ben my 18 year old beagle is gonna run them on the kids hunt. Looks to be a great year for the bunnies. i have bow hunted twice and have seen 15-20 each tine out and I only hunted for an hour. I also took the scattergun the other day and in a half hour I got 4 and could of killed ten more, but I want to save them for the hunt!! It is getting close so get ready to kill some bunnies!!! OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! Shawn

I'll see if I can't pick up a few nerf soccer balls to practice running wabbits with. Does anybody have an aerial thrower? that might be fun too. Skippy

The town that Shawn is in is Selkirk, I know there is a Comfort Inn not far away, I'm pretty sure Shawn is trying to arrange a special rate for guys that want to stay there......
