Time to chime in...I PM'd Shawn earlier this week informing him due to the layoffs here at IBM, I would not be making this years Bunny Hunt.

My 12 hr work night schedule starts me on Saturdays...like tonite and the weekend of the hunt has me working Sat/Sun nights. Due to the decrease in warehouse manpower, no vacations or time off until the end of March.

Last week Guru stopped in for feathers and I gave him my items for the raffle. There are 3 books..Erwin Bauers World of the Whitetail, one of Jack Hamms books and the third one...can't remember. I also included 2 bow socks and 2 dozen PO Cedar shafts..weighed and spined.

One doz is raw, the other doz is stained, sealed and the nock end sealed with Supercoat. All is needed is crest, feathers and nock....Good luck to everyone who is attending. This appears to be one of the finest hunts ever.

I bought some pink feathers today for some arrows I am making up for Hunter and I, so Team Pink will be represented........(by more than just me, I'm sure).

Yup, we are gonna miss you guys!! We will have ya with us though, I always have some of Joe's arrows with me and I have my memories of Kathy and others who will not be here. I am off to bed, with visions of bunnies dancing in my head. I just done up a dozen bunnie killers, gonna try them out tomorrow around noon for an hour than off to party for the the Super Bowl!!! I have one of those quivers bjk is making, he gave it to me a few years back. I will be carrying at this hunt. I added a carpet tube to mine and now I can swing it around and lower my head and bust brush and briars with it!! Nice stuff Brian!! Wait until ya see the stuff that has been sent to me, Badger arrows is making arrows for Hope and Faith, Mike at Legendsbows sent an awesome recurve, HotHap(Glynn Billingsly) always send some awesome stuff,  Joe Skipp, Killy,lots more to list as well!! Gonna be about 6-7 tables and the wall of bows just for the raffle, gonna have to hit the firehouse up for more tables than ever. That is a good thing, it shows we are gonna raise a lot of money for the kids!! OOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHH YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! Shawn

Every year it just gets better and better....the raffle table this year is already unbelievable.  

Thanks to all that are donating to this cause, as much as I look forward to the hunt and to seeing/meeting old/new friends, in the end what this hunt does for the kids is irreplaceable.


               to all involved, and especially to Shawn and his family for hosting and coordinating this.

You newcomers are in for a treat....(Hope you're in shape!!!)

Man, three weeks. The days are passing slowly, but it will soon be here.

Everyone better start doing some warm up exercises....you know...walking ten miles with a 85 lb rucksack and such.  :D   Huntmaster Shawn will make ya sweat...
