Newport Chemical Deport is closing. It’s in western Indiana 30 miles north of Terre Haute.
Pheasants Forever and other groups are asking the Governor to transfer 5,000 acres into a Wildlife Management Area (WMA).
The Army has maintained the facility with wildlife in mind - lot's of deer. It offers potential new hunting, fishing, biking and hiking.
The Governor needs to hear from everyone to create a new WMA at Newport. Email him at:
