"Merv" GRIFFIN arrived today
« on: January 02, 2009, 01:54:00 PM »
After much anticipation UPS showed up today with my new GRIFFIN by John MCCullough.  What a great way to start the new year!!

LH 60" 50@28" Santos Rosewood Riser, with Quilted Sapele over bamboo cores.  John uses a 450+ 6 strand string, with padded loops.

It is light, quick on target, very quiet, and extremely smooth.  I haven't chronographed it yet, but suffice'd to say, plenty fast. The craftmanship is superb and it really casts a heavy arrow with authority.

EVERYTHING a top-notch custom longbow should be, and without the sticker shock! Thanks to several of ya'll that recommended this fine bowyer.

That's a great looking bow!  I owned one of John's bows and it was an excellent shooter!  Congratulations!

Hold onto it Barry....One day when you get the urge for something new DON'T sell it, you will regret it and may not be so lucky finding the next one!
