Dryad Orion Scores

First I would like to thank Mike and Jason for making such a beautiful bow. I got my new bow in and Immediately took it to Texas on a pig hunt with Riverstick and Aggie1993. We had a great time getting together for some fun. I saw lots of deer and some hogs. The wind shifted on me the last day and I got busted so it didnt work out. Hopefully that will give me an excuse to keep going back.
I get home to Florida and my son is chomping at the bit to get his first deer. So I put him and grandpa in the stand and go to mine to set up a new feeder. I get back there and it happened in a matter of seconds. There was a little 70lb boar back there and he was about ten yards away facing me. so I tried to shoot him between the shoulder blades and hit to the left so it went in to the left of his right ear and exited out of his neck. Ok so now he is pissed. I nock another arrow and draw back release. Big squeal and a couple flips later he gets up and run about 20 to 30 yards and expires. The second shot hit between the shoulder blades and exited through the sternum. Didnt take long with the Magnus stinger. This was my first Trad kill. Been trying all year and it finally happened.

You came to my place where we have been seeing them all year, hunt three times, and cannot get one. You go back to Florida and can barely get out of the truck before you nail one....Oh the irony. Like you said though, gives you an excuse to get back down here. Congrats Shawn.

Thanks everyone. Hey Escondido man I know what your talking about. Was going to go yesterday and Alice said she really needed help. A buddy calls me later to give me the report and he tells me I should have went. Three sows at 15 yards he shot a white one. I'm still waiting on the pics other than that its all hearsay. only time will tell. Brek as always you and Troy have done a real good job with management.

Hey Shawn! Way to go! That Orion sure is a nice shooter.
I was surpeised that you did not mention me "bloodying" you Kempf Longbow while you and Riverstick where at dinner;) I'll post a thread when I get the pics loaded. Hope to see ya soon and I really enjoyed those Mule Deer Steaks.

Nice boar and nice bow. Congrats on your accomplishment. How did it taste (the pig--not the bow)?
I went to look at the other post of yours to see more pics of that bow and they were gone. You wouldn't happen to still have them to send me, would you? I was thinking about ordering a similar Orion wood combination.
