no in fack stubby was the only jack they had. They also had four blue lacey. Though two of them just pups. Ole shep has a catahula he uses.

The blue lacey dogs are a medium sized hound specifically bred for blood trailing (they can be other colors and one of the adult dogs was yellow). Here is Stubby with the two blue pups

The previously mentioned "Stubby"

Here is Robert's dog "Taz"

Peanut's dog "Hib" (Not sure on the spelling, but that is what it sounds like...)

I didn't get a picture of David's dog "Cisco" but I've been on a number of trackings with him, and he is amazing!  Hopefully someone got a picture of him too...

As you all know if you've read my posts, "Taz" is another amazing dog with no fear.  He flat out gets after a wounded hog and will go till the end if Robert lets him...

The last evening David and I were the last ones out and I was in the blue chair.  Not long after David left I had a deer come within bow pokin distance of my short tree stand, but it was a button buck.  The deer finaly made their way to me, but it was just too dark to make out what was what.

Now David had his little recurve, and the Trad Gang Administration arrow.  See, Rob DiStefano had left an arrow in camp last year but the Wensel Woodsman had a bent blade and Curt had a time getting it confidently sharp, so I added a Zwickey 4 blade Eskimo to make the arrow battle ready.

When we all got back in the truck, Skyler asked how his dad did, then how Curt did, and then how I did.....and David said "How come ya didn't aske me how I did".....David had drilled a doe with his traditional combo and he felt like it was down for sure.  We all urged David to look for it before we went in for supper, and he was all for it........

David told the tale and said he was amazed that he had no recolection of what happened between starting his draw and the arrow appearing in the deer. Welcome to traditional Dave

My computer has been down for a few days, just got it going this morning. What a great thread to catch up on. Most of us won't be able to go on hunts like this for various reasons. Many thanks to Terry and all of you for sharing your pics and stories with us.
Looking forward to hearing about this hunt from Don and Skyler first hand at one of our shoots this year.

This is what a Zwickey that barely makes it out the off side did as she ran off about 100+yds.....

WICKED!!!!

Here's another of David with the grin we all luv.....

We (Terry, myself, Don ,and Skyler)were all very proud of him and grateful to be a part of "his hunt, "Congrats again buddy    :notworthy:    :clapper:

.....On the arrow, it was a "total TG admin arrow"....after David test shot it, I told him I wanted to sharpen it for him, so I could be "part" of the journey. But after we discovered a badly bent blade and I just couldn't get it like I wanted, "good enough" just wasn't...so Terry had just the ticket with the Eskimo 4bl/steel adapter....so it became a "total TG admin arrow".......Then David made it famous    :clapper:

After finding David's deer(his dog did great), and quick picture session, it was back to camp.

When we got there, we heard some more great news from another crew.  "Someone"    ;)  had killed the best buck of his life!!  Awesome story too!! But you'll have to wait for him on that....

Then it was time for our last dinner at Solana...steak night!!!!

No doubt as good a steak as one could ever eat!!!

Rob's pic from earlier....

I've have received a couple of e-mails asking if this is a High Fence operation.....NO........Shaun and Terry both addressed this earlier and explained it well..Less than 400 Acres are fenced, out of 10,000 acres...No one on this hunt, was inside the high fence....This is just an AWESOME Place to hunt.....Don
