Awesome stuff, fellows! It's especially good to see those younger fellows knocking the elk over! Well-done, all!

thank you gentlemens, it's not a great pig exept for BBQ ........ he was the only one survivor of the year with his mother, normaly Sanglier get 3 or four "marcassins" (young one) ...

but this winter was incredible with a lot of snow during almost 5 months ... and more and more wolfs ...

so the temptation to shoot the 50 kgs female was very hight but for next year (if she survive to the every week drive hunt session) it's was better to shoot the young one ... smaller target also ! The young one are quite clear and striped  we call them "marcassins", after that theu get red like this one on the picture we call them "bete rousse" and you can begin to shoot them on hunting, after they get black and finaly grey black when they are quite old

it's on open public land where you have to buy a hunting licence to the village hunting society if they get "room" for you ... and one hour driving north from the mediterranean sea and the town of Cannes, south east part of french alps

On this part the mountain are close to 2000 m High, closer to Italy you have some 3000 m in the national parc of Mercantour

Yeah, Congrats on that Boar David, and regards from Spain....

We call in Spain those small teenboars "bermejos" that means "reds", due its red color.

Before that we call them "rayones", due its black lines on their bodies.

Beautiful place to hunt...

Ah, good luck with your "rebecos".

This may well be my smallest deer kill ever, but was one of my most rewarding as my 6-year old daughter Emily was with me in the buddy stand and only about 7-8 feet above ground.  It was dead silent last night and I just knew this was not gonna work but I'll be darned if this deer didn't come our way (Emily saw it first) and then pause at 13 yards so I could slip a Woodsman head through lungs and the top of the heart.  Emily got to see it all and then led the way on the ample blood trail.  Normally I wouldn't shoot such a young buck, but my daughter has really wanted me to get something when I take her and it's just never worked out.  The way our antlerless permits read I can legally tag it with those so it doesn't effect my two buck permits.  Trust me, Emily didn't care and it was a very cool night I doubt I'll forget.

Bryce,

Wondering when you would be posting a pic of a deer. The smiles say it all on that one!
