Hey Jim,
What's going on??? Yeah I really like that spot and I'm planning on going one day this weekend.
There are a lot of hogs around the Arkansas river and the Navigation channel south of Wagoner, I know a guy that has permission to hunt an area East of 69 hwy around the lock and dam. I've been trying to get a hold of him we've been playing phone tag. Jim if you can get away this weekend let me know.

I hope that you guys can locate something between OKC and Tulsa for this hunt because I would like to come if at all possible.  Cherokee and Porter would be across the state for me if that's where you decide to hunt.  I'll keep watching this post to see where this event will take place.

Hey Greg,
You know where any hogs are on Black Kettle????
I used to come out there and Turkey hunt in the spring but I haven't been out there in several years. I'd like to come out there this spring and try to get a turkey with my recurve.

Daren,

I haven't seen any hogs on the areas of Black Kettle I've hunted but I hear that there are some around Reydon.  I know that there are some in the northern part of the county up by the river. As for turkeys there are plenty around here.  I saw some yesterday coming back from Reydon about 2:30 p.m. Let me know if you plan on coming out this spring and maybe I can put something together.

Dewayne the 21st is solid. Just not sure what or where I'm open to ideas.
Guys I'm easy, I'll drive across the state to hunt or shoot doesn't really matter. Is there anything closer to OKC what about Lexington does anyone know anything about it.

Greg,
Thanks we'll definetly have to do that.
I've also hunted Packsaddle, Cooper and Ft. Supply but it's been years ago.
I've also heard some great things about Beaver River and Optima I plan on checking them out this summer I really want to get a nice Muley buck with my recurve.

Hey guys!  Daren, hows your hand? Are you back to shooting?  Well I guess you know by now that the Super Bowl is this Sunday and not the 8th like I posted at the begining of this thread.  I don't know what I was thinking.  Stupid me I guess.

Can't wait to see where this hunt is going to take place.

I can probably get away some time this weekend. I have a buddy that is just getting into traditional and he's wanting to get out some where too. Rabbit, hogs, spoonbill,(heard they are moving up the rivers) whatever sounds good. I'm on midnights and get off work at 8:00 a.m. sat. morning.

Sorry I haven't been on in a few days, my internet and phone have been down since early Friday morning.
Ok guys here's the deal I'm going to Heyburn this coming weekend. A couple of people that I know live in the area and confirmed that the hogs are there. I have a couple different area's that I'm going to look at. There are also a ton of Rabbits on the area so we should be able to find something to fling some arrows at.
February 21st at Heyburn public Hunting area.
Does anyone know of a good place close to that area where we could all meet and maybe have a little breakfast before the fun starts????
Also lets get a head count of who's for sure going to make it.

There's  C-store at Hwy 33 and 48 that is real close to the hunting area.  Might be a good place to meet.  The guys coming from the west won't have to backtrack any.  I afriend talked to the game warden for the area an he welcomes people to come out and kill some hogs.

Hey Dewayne glad to hear from you. I've been having trouble with my phone and internet, hopefully after tomorrow all will be fixed.

RightTrailWrongTime I enjoyed your report from The Tabletop Mountain ranch. hoperfully we can do this a couple times a year I'd be gla d to have you join us.

Rbbhunt, I know where you're talking about and that would be a good place, it's right off the turnpike at the Sapulpa exit, right??

Alright guys this thing is steamrolling!!!!! this may be my last post for a day or so till they get my internet and phone going again.
Sounds like this is going to be a blast!!!!!
