What happened to the 31st of Jan?  Feb is out for me.  Is there a location decided on?  I think it should be somewhat central for the folks around OKC (like the guy that started this)  Heyburn or DeepFork may be good.

It's looking like the 21st/22nd of Feb. I had already commited to hunt Cherokee Jan. 24th and 25th. IF anyone here wants to join us, you are more than welcomed to. Just let me know and we'll meet up somewhere along the way.
As for where, anywhere around Heyburn or Keystone.
I also just got some info from the processor I use, about a place towards Hominy that's private and is over run with hogs, he says the land owner will let any who ask's, shoot all the hogs they want.
I'll try to contact him this week and see how many he'll let come on his place.

BTW:
We got back from the Boar's nest late last night, 5 of us brought home 5 hogs.
I'll post some pic's after I get the film developed.

Jesse got a 100# sow
Russell got a 100# sow
Brannon got a 125# boar
Jeremy (son of Stick_N_String) got a 200# sow and a 50# sow.

I didn't shoot anything. Passed on several hogs and Had a great time.

Hey Archenemy,
Wish you could have made the trip!!!
I was looking for a certain boar, saw him twice just never could close the deal.
Then after my son shot his second one I wasn't sure we'd have room in the freezer for another one.
Let me know about this weekend, There's always room for ya!!!!

Hey Guys, I am Brian from Clinton which is in Central Western OK.  I have been reading the thread and this all sounds like a blast.  Not sure if I will make it in Feb but I will plan to try to make it in the future.

Hello Brian   :wavey:
I'm hoping that we can all get togather several times a year. I'm looking at some 3-D shoots mainly trad shoots, where we can all get togather. One i'd like to see everyone make is the Great Southern Plains shoot at Mcalester.
I'm also working ( in my head right now ) on getting something togather in Texas. I'd like to do something like the Texas vs. Oklahoma shoot out but instead of 3-D make it a hog hunt.
Who all would be interested in doing something like that????

i'm in for all of the above at any time!  thought i'd go crazy once deer season ended but this could be just the ticket.  i love any hunting, 3d, or just meeting people.  i'm also through hominy quite often if you'd like me to look up that land owner for you.  let me know, daren.

Daren, I'll try to find out tonight if I can go Saturday.  I may have to trade this weekend for the hunt in Feb.  My wife is getting nervous about having the baby and doesn't want me to go very far for any length of time.

Maddawgd,
sent you a pm.

Hey Paul,
If your luck is like mine you'd get way down there in those ridges, your wife would go into labor, and you'd miss the whole thing.  :scared:
Then you'd end up sleeping on the couch for the next year.   :banghead:
