Brain, sent you a pm.
rbbhunt, I'm working on that one.Tomorrow I'll be talking to the processor that's cutting up our hogs from last weekend, he was telling me about a gentleman over at Hominy that has a place that's overrun with hogs and is practically begging people to come shoot them. I'm hoping we can get permission to get on his place.

Private land around Hominy would be great, there's a lot of hogs in the area.

Daren let me know if there is anything I can do to help you out. Maybe we can meet with land owner. If it all works out we should all pitch in and get him a gift card to his favorite resturant, or something like that.

The high is going to be 35 tomorrow! I went to Cherokee today to look around today. Never been there before. Man are there some rough roads and terrain in there. Got a flat tire crossing a shallow creek.
I didn't see any hog sign but lots of deer and turkey sign. I saw two bald eagles there too. Very cool!
Hope your hand is ok Daren!

Bald Eagles, that is cool!!!! I've never seen an Eagle there before.
Do you remember what creek you were crossing when you got a flat???
The hand is feeling better, I can make a fist now but I can't put any pressure on my palm.

I'm thinking it was greenleaf creek. It was just a sharp rock. My tires are pretty thin. I was on theeast end of White Oak road.

Hello Dewayne, We didn't see any hogs but we saw quite a bit of fresh sign. I'm going to go Saturday ,that's the last day that the refuge is open. If I think I can get in to the area I've been going. When this ice thaws out I may not be able to get in there with my 2 wheel drive.
If not I'm going to go over to Hominy and see if I can get permission from some of the landowners around the river.

not yet, I'm still trying to come up with some private land for us to look for some hogs on.
I have a couple leads over by Hominy that I'm going to check out this weekend.
I'm really trying to keep it between Tulsa and OKC that way it will be easier for everyone that wants to show up.
If anyone has info on hogs somewhere between here and there please step up. Or we could do rabbits, I'm not picky, just want to meet some new people and shoot my bow.

Daren, I think we need to check "your spot" at Cherokee now that the snow and ice has stopped. I bet they are hungry!
I talked to a kid at the McDonalds on the way back home last Sunday, he asked what I was hunting and he said there are lots of hogs around Porter just South of there. Might head over there and ask around.
