I used 1x8 pieces of pine and then burned the wood with a propane torch two coats of stain, and three coats of polyurethane.

Its not the size of the animal you hunt that matters. Its how you hunt the animal.

I took an old cedar which had been cut and peeled the bark off of the trunk. Be sure it it seasoned to keep the sap off of your wall. I split it vertically lenghtwise down the trunk with my bandsaw. Cut the limbs ~4 to 5 inches long and drilled holes in the trunk inline with the studs in my house. Two or three deck screws into the studs and it is hung. You can double up bows on the limbs. I've got 20+ bows hanging up in the "man cave". Hung by the string on the top limb. The cost is zero, except for some gas and a good way to store several bows. Tommy

Made this out of 1x4" pine boards and wooden dowels.

Here are a couple pictures of one I either stole or was given to me by my good hunting buddy (maybe I traded a wooden bed for it?).  Anyway, just cut a log lengthwise about 2 inches thick, drill in holes (about 1/2" Diameter and 3/4" deep - see where my finger is pointing to one) and then I just used a knife to carve the ends of the sticks to fit the holes.  A couple of the pegs are shown sitting on the top.  Pegs are about 4 inches long and the logs are about 4 feet long.  Drill the holes about 7 inches apart.  Carving the pegs by hand will make the task last through the winter as you will need about 14 of them!  This one holds 7 bows but I can double up a few if needed if the pegs are long enough.  I unfortunately don't have it up as I am still working on the "man cave"...

Here's mine - not the arrows I use but for demo only - 2x4" and dowelling and some foam from a hardwareshop.

Holds 2 bows and 30 arrows

They look like they are hanging by the strings.
Amazing collection there Sir.

And my wife thinks I have enough bows...
