New Dryad Orion....
« on: January 09, 2009, 04:01:00 PM »
Well I finally got my Orion from Wingnut and Jason...  Let me tell you it is an absolute work of art.  Draws so smooth and shoots fairly fast.  She is 58" - 55 @ 28.  Bocote/coc-bola riser and bocote veneers over boo.  This is beyond a doubt one of the prettiest bows I have ever laid my hands on.

Got the curve limbs as well...

Yes they are beautiful bows and shoot just as great.  Hope you have many good times with her.  I should have gotten long bow limbs when I ordered as well.

Mike and Jason make a great bow...  this is a low wrist and my hand literally rests against the arrow.  This is my style of shooting from the old days when all ya could get was a straight limb longbow.  I always shot with my hand high up on the riser.  I can tell you my second shot at 12 yards I hit a 1/4" diameter dot on my target.  Next arrow hit the other one.

oh no problem.  You want everyone else slobbering on it.  Heck it's your bow.  LOL

It's going to be a pretty bow.

Chris,

Yours is in process now too.

Had a fellow over the other day that saw the riser glue up and ordered one with the figured bubinga and birdseye maple.

Yours will be an ugly bow too.  LOL
