Silvertip Crazy
« on: January 09, 2009, 07:26:00 PM »
A lot of members seem to like Schafer silvertips, I thought it would be nice to see some of them. Here is mine I got three seasons ago. I love the tip, I hope to see pictures of tips you guys collected. Its 58" I got two sets of limbs with it one set 55# @ 27" the other is 61# @ 27" snake skin  antler knobs one set of limbs have deer horn inlays the other has sheep horn inlays, rosewood riser and limbs. I love the bow so much I even named it the RISING SUN.
I hope I get to see some of Paul's original bow not taking anything away from Dave.

I was able to take two decent deer this season with my Silvertip. I bought it from a fellow TradGanger a couple years ago. Excellent hunting bow and I like it so much I am looking for another one.   Louis

Ah, one of my favourite topics! Naturally, I'm quite biased; they are beautiful bows. Here's mine:

It sure looks as though it could be but it is actually an early Windauer Tip.
