Last week I learned how to make a Flemish string from Mr Patton of Crow Creek bows. I made this one out of fast flight because he didn't have any B50.
I was proud of how it turned out under the watchful eye of Mr Patton but since my bows are not FF compatable I couldn't try it.
While I was waiting for my B50 material to arrive I built this jig.
Once my B50 got here I made my first string without any help from someone else. Turned out pretty good and I added a sliding nocking point and puff balls.
I just came back inside from test firing this string. I have no way of proving it but it seems the arrow went faster than with the old string. The old string had 16 strands and mine has 14. Would that actually make a difference or am I just wowed that my string worked so well?
