I was there in Montana with the guys that week in '96. I've actually hunted out of that stand that Barry killed the buck from. Since Cuz was there alone and they only had one camera, he showed the deer when Barry shot. I just wanted you guys to know that he made one helluva shot on that deer. He had to reach around that big cottonwood and shoot behind him. 22 yards and he drilled him. The camera didn't show that there were about 20 other deer there all staged up to go to the alfalfa at dark.

He's my hero.....

Biggie, and you were there too! They must've been filming that episode with a wide angle lens!

The one I searched and found was 2004 "Two for Texas"... still pretty neat! They'd have to be neat to hang with...  :)

Thanks for posting the link Pigmy. It is awesome to be able to watch these guys in action.

How privileged we are to have the likes of Gene, Barry, Biggie, Charlie, Ron, Rob, O.L., and many others as members of our forum. Not only do we have friendly, helpful, informed members, we have some of the legends of our sport right here. I truly appreciate how willing they all are to teach and associate with those of us who will never be legends but who simply love traditional archery and bowhunting. Thanks!

Thank you guys for all the positive feedback. We appreciate it and I'm sure Mossy Oak would love to receive positive feedback too. Ronnie "Cuz" Strickland, as well as the entire Mossy Oak crew, does an outstanding job. A recent talk with Cuz has revealed there is buzz of a Mossy Oak strictly bowhunting TV show being considered to involve Gene and I somewhere down the line. I know absolutely everyone probably won't agree, but I've always been proud to do shows with Mossy Oak because of their attitudes. They've truly always tried to portray hunting in the proper light. And for that I think we owe them a big thank you. The power of national television is unreal so I really hope this comes together as a huge positive for our sport. BW

The Wensel brothers are multi-taskers supreme.  I've watched them as they  popped up a blind, ate cookie crumbs, kicked dirt, argued with each other, and all as they simultaneously carried on a conversation with me about how people talk in Kentucky . . . sheeeeeeeee!!!  God love-em.

Barry, if you and Gene are going to be on it, it will become my new favorite show for sure. I agree, the Mossy Oak crew generally does a good job, especially Cuz. I hope they include a healthy dose of traditional in their bow hunting show. I know you and Gene will, but other than Fred Eichler (sometimes) and Tred Barta, it is rare to see a stick bow on television. When one does appear on one of those other shows and the hunter makes a kill it is usually a good buck "for a recurve." That last part just irritates the heck out of me, especially knowing some of the deer you and Gene have taken.

Thanks! You do a great job representing us all. Now I gotta go back to Mossy Oak and watch some more video of the twins!

I loved it. Much better than most of the crap that they call Hunting Shows these days.

Hello, Barry.  I enjoyed the show so much I've watched at least 4 times over yesterday and today.  I was just wondering, what are the chances of the Brothers of the bow releasing another instructional dvd.  I still watch October Whitetails but I'm in need of an update. Thanks.

TradOnly- We are in the process now of editing and producing our next video with Wensel/Mitten Productions. We hope to add an instructional component to its varied theme. Of course this would be separate from anything Gene and Barry are doing with Mossy Oak. Thanks, Mike

I'm with everyone, wish we had more traditional shooting on the shows.  Love to meet the Wenzel brothers sometime.
