The next best thing to a trail cam still pic is a handheld video.  I was out trying to put some squirrels in the pot with a friend of mine and low and behold we look up and see a small buck.  I turn the camera on and start filming.  These three videos are in sequence.  We were caught out in the middle of an opening and had to try and hide the best we could.

I had a dream the other day that I missed him with a muzzleloader.  I saw the word "dream" loosely, and it was more like a nightmare.  I didnt sleep the first week after I got video of him.  I have trail cams all over the place on this property and never seen this deer.  I have seen others that are in the P&Y category, but nothing toeing the 160 line.  Last year I killed a P&Y buck and saw two others.  This year I have seen zero of the deer I saw last year and this monster that I had never seen before.  There is now a treestand on that path he walked by.  October can not get here fast enough.

Here is one that will make the grade for me this year.  I nearly killed him last year.  He has not grown too much, but this video is from July so he probably put on a little bit.  Not realy wide, but good tine lenghth and you can see this when he walks away from the camera and turns his head sideways.  His name is Crabby.   [/IMG]

Don't think it's the same deer. Here are two from last year.

Is this the same deer?

Well after going about six weeks without so much as a 115 inches of antler on film.  I am now looking at probably two and half times that in just two deer.

You all saw the video of the stud on the property.  Then only a few days later I catch a cam pic of another really nice buck coming from that same direction.
Im putting him in the mid 130 range, but look at the length of those tines.  I love it.

and maybe a younger brother from the same batch.....

Does anyone know how to fix this problem? One shot of a really nice buck for SC - this "whitening" of the pic only happens about 1 in every 300 or so pictures, and naturally it happens on THIS one!

You can just see his head- he's left of center, walking away from the camera, and that rack is really high!
