I hope to have an encounter with this guy. Got a glimpse of him back in July about 20 yards from my truck.

Ben
You have no idea.  October 1 cant get here fast enough.  I dont think I have ever had my broadheads sharpened and arrows made this early before.  Usually its later in the year almost trying to rush it before the opening weekend.  This year after seeing some of the bucks around things are in order and im just watching the clock tick by.

DJP - its a full moon; and at that time its like daylight out. The moon phase changing will help.
A good size bear will be to the shoulder; nearly as tall as a 50 gallon drum.. not sure what size drum that is; but it looks like a relatively small bear.
The bait should be secluded enough that the bear can feel safe coming into it in daylight. If its a big open area; the bear will wait until darkness to come in.
I can't tell what your set up is; but ideally if you can find an opening in really dense cover about the size of an average tent - put your bait there.
You have an advantage with the camera; as to time and bear size- but there is something keeping the bear from coming in when you can get a shot. If this is a new bait- then maybe just give it some time.
THE VOICES HAVEN'T BOTHERED ME SINCE I STARTED POKING THEM WITH A Q-TIP.

Thanks Brian, that is a plastic barrel and it is over 48" tall, I have pictures of this bear 7 nights in a row. I would be really pleased with him/her.

Got behind on my trailcam pics.  But here's a couple from this last batch.

This little fella was actually at my camera yesterday morning(cam was a day behind), I doubt he keeps his harem much longer.

This bull has some nice character to his antlers. He dug a little wallow about 50ft behind my trailcam.

I had this buck chase a doe right in front of me last year but I didn't want to take a running shot. Got the picture today!
