Can you identify this broadhead, please?
« on: January 17, 2009, 05:25:00 PM »
My buddy gave me three of these broadheads today.  They were given to him by his friend's father who bought them new at least 3 decades ago (just going by what I was told).

After taking this photo I removed them from the old shafts and weighed them.  They are 170 grain 3-blades.  I think I'm going to clean them up, get them sharp, and try to take a deer with one next season.  Any info is appreciated.

On the Magnus website I see that the screw-ons come in 170 grains, but the glue-ons only go up to 160.  Is it possible the Snuffer glue-on came in a 170 grain version back then?  BTW, thanks for the fast responses.

They weren't always magnus snuffers.  They used to be rothar snuffers, and I believe Roger made them in 170.

Yep, an original snuffer. I have a few in my bow tools, and they look about that funky! I never could get a really sharp edge on mine, so they are slowly turning to rust.
