Congrats!

I hope you get a crack at the 8pt you mentioned.  If you don't maybe the you'll find the rabbit tracking up behind the big rock.

I wish I was still chasing Whitetails too!

No such luck. Really no rabbits here, but squirrels everywhere you look   ;)

Thanks again everyone. this was a really special deer for me. I have taken over 100 deer in my 13 years of bowhunting, but I have only taken a few deer with trad gear. i am making myself promise to hunt with it a lot more next year. It takes more work but it is so much more rewarding. this is the only other deer i have taken with the longbow.....on Jan 31st last year. the very last day of the season. I took a nice buck with the recurve and these 3 deer have been the most rewarding of all of the deer I have taken. they may not be the largest, but the are the most special.

Congrats on a great hunt, put the weeles down and don't look back. All your harvests in the next season can be as rewarding as this one. Way to go!

Good shot.  If I was hunting in that weather I would have had on enough cloths to start a Cabelas!  You looked like you were on the way to the beach!  Hunters from New York state must be tough
