Buckskin Jacket anyone?
« on: January 19, 2009, 04:01:00 PM »
Always wanted to make a nice Buckskin Jacket so finally got round to it

it was my winter project

Buckskin jacket Early frontiersman style.

making a jacket like this is a LOT of work but very rewarding, cut my fingers up pretty good sowing it!

thats a early 90's First of Ron Laclair's shrew designs and we all know Ron is a keen Buckskiner.

also thanks to "Littletree" for some advice.

what you think?

Looking good there Andy.  You just need to wear it everyday for a year to get it good and greasy/dirty and you will have it down authentic.

can you post some blueprints?
Will you eat that? If not, why did you kill it?
