Found my first shed Sun. while coyote hunting.Good mass but very short pts.[4 pt.] covered by 3 in snow.Took a drive last night and saw 60-70 deer in two fields and at least 14 bucks with 12" spread or larger and 5-6 spikes. The two booners I hunted all season were standing next to each other at 400yds.I had the 24+ incher at 15 ft. but he stopped to smell my tracks in the snow and wouldn't take the next step I needed for a clear shot. His rack and neck were in my sight window for an eternity it seemed till he decided to turn and run. This was a month ago and I see that picture daily in my mind!!All bucks had both sides by the way that I saw last night .

I have not got out to look yet.  I have seen some bucks out in the field with one side gone.  The guy next door picked up his 1st shead 3 weeks ago.  Seems early!

I have picked up 2 so far this year. I think one may be from last year though as it is chewed up pretty good and bleached a bit. They are just starting to drop here and I won't get serious about looking for them until after valentines day.

I was out this weekend for the late antlerless season and seen alot of bucks with antlers.  Low crawled across a field within 75 yards of a HUGE bedded 10 pointer.  Ended up being 5 bucks bedded there together and all had both of their antlers still.  Gotten be coming off real soon though.

I can't even get out and around in my area right now .The snow is not as deep as the temps are low. We're still dealing with -30C to -50C with the wind :knothead:Maybe by May ,I would love to find a nice moose shed.
If it wasn't for Hillary Blackburn I may have never found my way to the woods and the water.I miss you Puppy.Love from your grandson.

They have been finding a few here in Texas.  Took a walk today and did not stumble across any.

found one nice half ten point back in december, real early, I think some are drop'n early this year, my bro had three different nice bucks come under his stand without headgear the last week or so of Illinois bow season. Must be the nasty weather or something.

These 2 came from Indiana today (Sunday). 4 5/8" C1's and 25" and some change main beams! mainframe 10 with no stickers. I have been watching a group of deer including 6 bucks every evening just behind my house (IL) a bit. 2 of them will go over 150" and one of those is my droptine buck! I'm glad he finaly showed back up I had not seen him since early November until a week ago or so. I thought he was a goner! So far all in this group are still carrying there antlers. I think it's still a bit early but it won't be long and they will be dropping good.

one more picture.

140" give or take a bit.

I am ready for the big boys to drop!

adeeden!

That is a nice pair of whitetail sheds!  And you have got yourself a good helper there!

I hope that you find the droptine buck!  It would be fun for you to pick up his sheds before you harvest him in 2009!

Good luck!

John,
Here is another one, The big guys still holding his tight though. I wish he would drop so I could go a looking for them!

This one must have just dropped in the last day or so, it was still a bit bloody! I found it right next to a bed.

Cool stuff!!! I'm getting pumped to go out and find some. This rain should help reveal a few.
Just one more step please!
