I used to buy every issue back when.  Last year, they ran a story about a trad hunter and the fact that "some hunters choose to handicap themselves by not using sights, and some take it further by using traditional equipment"- I don't recall the exact quote, but it got my feathers ruffled a bit.
I wrote the editor and explained that traditional bowhunters are not choosing to be handicapped- I hunt with traditional equipment for the challenge of getting closer, and the enjoyment factor of getting it done with the stick and string.  I also asked that they screen articles to put the trad guys in a more positive light in the future.
My 5 cents anyway.....Dave

Just curious Ben, and please don't think I'm being critical in anyway beacause it's not my intention, but why did you choose to submit the story to NAW instead of a more "traditional" oriented media?

I think it's great and can't wait to read the article.  I have nothing against NAW and buy it occasionally.  Your story will no doubt be a breath of fresh air for the regular subscribers.

As others have posted prior to me, I think we were all proud of and happy for you the very first day you posted pics of the great deer.   The article by a fellow TGer will just be icing on the cake.

Congrats again on a great season and on being published.  I hope you sent them pics of that genuine smile so others can get a glimpse of what it's like to accomplish things the hard way.   :clapper:
