Exotic wood suppliers for bows?
« on: January 03, 2007, 06:26:00 PM »
If any of you bowmakers have the name of some suppliers out there, other than Master Crafters, the info would be greatly appreciated. I am looking for tulip wood specifically. Thanks.

Gilmer's is only 120 miles north of me and didn't even know it. They do have some unbelieveably beautiful wood! I noticed some of the wood says it is partially dried.  Is there concern for cracking with some of this expensive wood if dried too fast or something?
