NRA promoting crossbows in PA?
« on: January 22, 2009, 10:50:00 AM »
Friends -- this morning I received this info:

"FYI, the NRA is actively promoting crossbows in archery season in PA. And they are also trying to get rifles in 4 areas in West Virginia that have been bow only for a long time. These areas have very healthy deer herds with mature bucks, quality hunting that will be eliminated in a couple of years. Just in time to sell thousands of the new PSE crossbows that shoot one hole groups at 100 yards. Of course it is all about money. The NRA is definately butting in where they do not belong. A number of NRA members have already resigned and I suspect many more will when they hear about this."

Can any of you in PA or W. VA confirm this? If true, we need to mobilize nationally, as this is just the beginning. Just asking for info, not opinions. Thanks! Dave

There is already a thread on this in the Hunting Legislation and Policies Forum where it belongs.
