A few new quivers
« on: January 23, 2009, 04:16:00 PM »
Those of you who have been around here long enough might remember I used to do a fair bit of leather work before I got started making knives.  You'll also recognize who I draw my inspiration and style from.

The last of a light tan heavy nubuck leather:

And two out of elk:
This one is going to get a couple pouches added on before heading to it's new home:

More details of the third:

All quiver bottoms are reinforced for broadheads and the mouths and bottoms are lined with bark-tanned shearling.  The bottom three inches of the quiver bodies are reinforced as well.

Ken, I think you'll get a kick out of the possibles bag (classic Eastern style hunting pouch, not Mountain Man) I'm trying to start this weekend.  Though looking at how much handsewing is going into that, I'll never complain about the price of my wife's purse again! LOL

TW, the third one is bar far my favorite type of plains-style quiver for hunting.  It was going to make it's way over the Sponsor's Classifieds section when I had the chance to post...
