Jerry... I am currently building a special bow for the Howard Hill Longbowmen. This will a "rotating bow", i.e. it will enter a life of continuously shuffling around among the members.
As you know if you've looked at my pages, I kind of specialize in lighter bows. However, I wanted to get some pix of game taken with a bow I built. I offered to build a hunting weight bow for the guys if they would take it out hunting and send me pix of game taken. They were enthusiastic and the project is under way.
The bow is two lams of yew and two of lamboo and I'm shooting for between 45 and 50 pounds. It should be finished this week or next.
I'm trying to take them along on the building of it and have been posting each days work, with as thorough a discussion of the decision process and building, and tools used, as I can. (For that statement you can read "exaustively long pages with lots of pictures).
Here is a link to what's up so far...

Tomorrow will be making the riser and counter-sanding the laminations (I grind my own lams) and, if work goes really well, possibly even the layup. It should go into the oven tomorrow night or Tuesday morning and be finished next week. (I'd finish it on the coming weekend, but I'm going to a shoot...)
