I've been surfing the internet with no success trying to locate a dealer who carries the new Steel Force Traditional 3:1 screw-in broadheads. I'm interested in the steel ferrule version that weighs aroubnd 200 grains. Can anybody here point me to the right place? I know Steel Force has a website, but I haven't emailed them yet. Do they sell directly to customers or only though their retailers? Thanks in advance.

Left hand bevel only at the moment, and I'm pretty sure they'll sell them to you direct. Very serious broadheads!

I got to see and hold them at the ATA show; lemme tell yea they are wicked. Scary sharp and look very strong!!
I am considering purchasing them myself

When Steel Force was a new company I bought directly from them, that was some years ago now. Good luck they look like excellent heads.Jerry

I'll post when Steel Force emails back to me. If these Traditional broadheads are available, which apparently they are, they must just be just now gearing up production or have a marketing/distribution problem. Their other broadheads are widely available.

they have a dealer list on the web site. I have used the Premium Series broadheads for years. They have always had the best penetration on our phone book tests as well as real world shots.

None of the big stores like Cabelas, Bass Pro or Gander Mtn, or trad specialists like 3Rivers & Kustom King carry the Traditionals. I ordered some through my local SF dealer last August but he claimed SF told him they were having production problems. I gave up waiting in December. Looks like other folks seemed to have gotton some. If they're being offered, I figure they'll show up on somebody's shelf somewhere sometime.

I just looked and you can get then from Lancaster archery. They have them in 145gr. screw in only. I think they look like a great broadhead.

The 145's don't have the tanto point like the one above. Is that something you have to do after you get them, or is there another version?

Sharpster, what weight are the ones you have? The steelforce website only has 145's too. They look good, but they are definitely different than the ones you have.

Here's the weights for the new heads. I'm pretty sure you can buy direct and they are in stock now.

The titainium will be double bevel only. The single will be 420 stainless with 50 Rockwell hardness. There is an interchangeable ferrule system that works with either blade style/material: An aluminum ferrule that weighs 35 gr. and a steel ferrule that weighs 100 gr. The stainless single bevel with the steel ferrule weighs 250 gr. The same blade with the aluminum ferrule weighs 185 gr.

$59.95 for three. Not the cheapest but not the most expensive either.

Nick will be at Kalamazoo this weekend and I know he's gonna have a bunch of these there with him.

Thanks Sharpster & others, The 185 gr. aluminum ferrule is the size I want. The steel ferrule head is too heavy for my arrows. So far, I haven't gotten a response from SF to the email I sent them on 25th. I also emailed them a couple of months ago & didn't hear back. I thought they might be going out of business or something. I'll try telephoning today.

I dont know where to get them but i dont care for this head. If you are going to get a head that "spins" through flesh why the heck did they put vents in it. Since they used dr. Ashbys research why ignore a big part? Vents impede penetration! I think by nearly 10% on the heads tested. I think the fade from the ferule to the blade is terrible! Most get the single bevel for the bone spliting ability, another part of his research was about how the rivit on the howard hill head would hang up on bone severly impeding penetration. This head looks much worse than the little rivit on the howard hill. If you want to use his research to design a head use it all or not at all. Jmo

The new ones can be purchased straight from SteelForce and they look just like the one pictured in my post on page 1 BUT... They are NOT VENTED anymore. I think LH bevel only but Nick might be able to do some RH if you asked him to.

Thats exactly what I was going to say...looks like a nice head but they should have followed the criteria a little more closely in my opinion. If they do that in the future I would be interested. RW would also be a nice addition.
