Bocote's a great "natural camo" limb veneer. I think my new Horne longbow goncalo alves limbs are pretty "woods natural camo", too ...

Rob, those look better to me than my bocote,mines too black overall.....

Might those lams have been from an air-dried board? AD walnut can be full of surprising colors -- reds, purples, even hints of green. The kiln drying process strips a LOT of color out of walnut.

Nice looking wood there Kenny. Nick suggested we try to make it down to MO sometime around the end of March early April. We'll have to stop in to see the new lam grinder and shoot some BS and a few arrows.

Woody,its sposed to be kiln dried,a fellow bought it in KC and gave it to me for cuttin out some rack plaques,well worth the saw job!!
Eddie,bring those new bows and a crappie rod too.
Thomas,its sposed ta be walnut,but I like it!
