Good swamp hunt this evening.Hungry snuffers
« on: January 27, 2009, 09:38:00 PM »
Went to the swamp this evening after Pork. Was hunting Tippets Pronghorn again. Decided to name it "Doc" in his honor.
After a loonnngg loop I heard a pig squeel. I caught the wind and headed for`em. Finally saw one then two then a bunch. They were feeding at a fast pace headed for a deep slew. I circled in front and eased up to the edge. Peeked over and saw two boars side by side pushing each other. An unseen pig to my left caught my wind and broke. The two boars stopped fighting and stood still. I knew the gig was soon to be up so I Brought "Doc" to full draw and sent a hungry snuffer on the way for the 18 yard porker. The hit looked good and pigs scattered. I waited a few minutes and took up the trail....

That Pronghorn named "Doc" is just the right medicine for pushin' those Snuffers through porcine biomass....

What is the total weight of your arrow?

Thanks and I am lookin' forward to part II....

RC i love your stories. Short, sweet and full of critters. As said before you are a hog killin machine. I thought snuffers got poor penetration LOL!      :notworthy:

RC - It looks like another pass through with the yellow-fletched arrow lying on the ground to the right of the bloodied bush....

After about a 30 yard blood trail I found porker # 2 for the evening.Actually could have shot another but I had one in my backpack boned out ...another to bone out and over a mile from the truck.killed a triple a few years ago and thought I was gonna fall out before getting them out.
