RH bow Left or Right helical??
«

I have all of my arrows with a RW helical BUT was recently told I should be shooting LW as a RH shooter.
Is there any truth to that or does it matter either way?
Thanks

Not that I can tell. I've been shooting LW out of my bow and just made some RW. Can't tell a single difference in the way they fly. Didn't change a single other thing.
Unless I miss, then it's all about the arrow being "all wrong".

The only difference seems to be that there are more colors available in left wing fletches. I am a rightie and shoot RW fletch.

Some guys have trouble with the RW feathers hitting their index finger on release. Otherwise, I don't think there is a downside. The best part is they tighten your broadheads instead of loosen them like the LW feathers do. I shoot left wing because when I started that was what I was told I needed, so I bought a LW clamp. I haven't really seen a reason to change. If you are set up to do right wing, I don't see any reason for you to change either.

I actually had a modern compound dealer tell me LW east of the Mississippi and RW west of the Mississippi. I had to laugh at that one as there wasn't a real feather in the place.

I have both in my quiver and they hit in the same spot, No difference that I can tell.
I have been told that if you are going to shoot the single bevel broadheads that you need to shoot the same left wing for left bevel, right wing for right bevel.
