anyone shot a tahr with a trad bow?

was surfing you tube. tahr hunting came up. one of my ultimate goals is to take a bull tahr with a trad bow. so has anyone done it? pics.

Mark Kimber has done both the "Mountain Double" with a recurve he made himself.

Also a number of kiwi bowhunters have done this with Traditional gear. I'll see if I can find some pics of Mark.

I saw a TBM article where the author and friends shot some chamois and if Im not mistaken tahr as well.They are impressive and make a real nice mount.

I watched a "sportsman" channel when the Tahr was spotted and a helicopter flew the hunter to the mountain top adjacent to it.  he then crawled downa nd rifle shot the tahr.  That would be a feat with a bow and an ultimate witha bow.  Neat animals

There was an article in TBM in 2004 on a Kiwi(Kevin Lowe) that hunted thar and chamois and ended with several chamois.

Check out the NZ Bowhuters Asscoiation and poke around and you'll get a bit more info.

Bill was after Chamios and sent an arrow of one's back and came back empty handed. Kevin Lowe is a fine hunter and has put some animals on the ground. Best of luck Pat.
