Quick Cedar Question
« on: March 12, 2007, 12:32:00 PM »
For those of you who use cedar shafts. When you purchase your raw shafts, when you recieve them do you put a coat of laquer on them to preserve them until you get ready to stain and fletch and stuff. I read this on rose citys site and was wondering if anyone does this. Justin

nope, and if you did you'd have to sand them down to get the stain to take. That would/could change the spine of the arrow. It would also be a pain in the rear.  :)

I'd leave them as is until you're ready to play with them.

That's what I thought but I just wanted to make sure since that site said to do that. Thanks for the info. Justin
