"TEMBO" came out of the closet today
« on: January 29, 2009, 11:07:00 PM »
Now I need the Advil, I haven't shot the "Tembo" in a long time. Quite a jump in weight from what I'm used to, 63lb. Silvertip to the 75lb. "Tembo". I struggled with it for a while.
My shoulders and back muscels are pretty sore right now.
I sure like how light in the hand she is though, that bamboo doesn't weigh very much. I gotta tell ya she can hurl a log down range with some athority. I'm going to keep working with her till I can shoot it comfortably again.

I love my Tembo as well but there aint no way i'm hauling back 75lb anymore! Mines only 53lb. Hits pretty hard for that weight though, and your right - love the lite weight!

I know what you mean. I've been shooting my 70# Hill for a while now and the other day I decided to pull the 85#er out of the closet for a leisurely afternoon of shooting...nothing leisurely about that, my afternoon lasted all of a hour. And Bill, the Tembo is still in production at Howard Hill, it is Craigs three bamboo lam bow. A great bow for sure. Keep after it Uncle Whit, you'll be like peas and carrots with that bow before ya know it.
