I just received my Thunderstick fro Jim Reynolds,WOW what a bow,was a little concerned about going fron a recurve to a longbow, that stick shoots awsome, right where you look and NO hand shock, fast and very quite. The workmenship is second to none.... Thanks Jim for a wonderful bow. Pete

Yep, fine shooting bow.
I have one that is 60", 58# @ 29". Pulls very smooth and smokes an arrow.

It must be 'New MOAB Week' Is it time to go home yet? Got the call from my wife about an hour ago. My St. Jude's MOAB arrived this morning. I can't wait to get home and fling a couple of arrows. I've had one of Jim's Thunderstick IIs for years and can't wait to see and shoot that new MOAB. Indeed Thanks Jim.

MOAB is an incredible bow. I had a TS III that was @3# lighter in draw weight. My MOAB shoots the same arrows 10 f.p.s. faster. Mine is 60" and 63# @ 27". Very fast and smooth. It actually out shots my 66# recurve.

wudstix,
The one I have isn't very far off from my recurve. The MOAB is one quick shooting longbow.

Anyone chrono'd one? Is the MOAB the top of his line as far as performance?

It's one sweet shootin stick, but, and that's a big butt, I prefer the Ramhorn curve. Both are point and shoot though, can't go wrong with either. Jeff and Jason, sorry to hear about your waits, ya'll can stop over any time and shoot and drool on mine......LOL

I considered buying one used, but I have been promising Jim for six years now I would buy one of his bows someday.
Patiently waiting...

Went right home and shot the MOAB yesterday. It is indeed a rocket launcher. It's 60" and 58# @ 28". With my short draw I'm pulling around 48#. This bow is way faster than my TSII. I shot arrows that ranged between 40 - 55lb spine and weighed between the low 400s to almost 620 grains and the bow handled them all. The 55lb/620gr arrows had a bit of spriral to the flight but I was still amazed that this bow shot them as well as it did. Fabulous bow!

Jim is close to having my MOAB done and I can't wait! I bought it in an auction and it is one of his famous "Arrow Inlay" bows! The report in TBM on the MOAB had it chronographed right up there with the fastest tradbows out there.
