(PICS) hope to have this one finished soon

with all of the fun i have had over the winter building and testing prototype recurve limbs, i have not made much time to finish some bows that i have been working on for quite some time. this one is for my brother-in-law's birthday. it is still far from finished but should give an idea of what it will look like. i still have to shape the tips as well as the limb butts and blend everything together. the riser has one coat of gloss on it just to seal it so i still have a ton of finish work ahead of me. the spliced veneers on this bow are the same ones that will be on the metal riser's "purdy" limbs. the bow is completely tillered and shoots really nice. my brother-in-law has a long draw length so i had to use different tapers than i usually do to keep these short limbs from stacking for him. anyway, i hope you enjoy the pics.

Wow! Beautiful bow! Do you have another sister? I'll volunteer to marry her if you can make me a bow like that! LOL Just kidding above there. You are an artist! Your brother in law is fortunate to get a bow that pretty.

Looks like snakewood and zebrawood to me. Is that correct. They sure go nice together. Awesome looking bow and I love how you spliced them.
