They obviously didn't know about the Cobra heads. They were 6 bladed, and very similar in shape   from back in the 50's.

or the Jewell Leadford 6 blade, which is so close in design it looks like they copied it... circa 1975, or the Hamilton 6 blade  rear tails were more like the f-18 (?)  V shaped, circa 1974, or the Bee Stinger 6 blade,  again, with V shaped rear flaps, circa 1987.

First ?   I don't think so.  Only ?  well... yeah, these others died out.  Hmm  I wonder why ?

These may work.  Anybody out there hunting basketballs ?

Looks like something out of a Sci Fi movie. I don't know but the Woodsman, Zwickey, Magnus heads that I use and have used all work good enough that I don't think I need to try a different one, even if it does look like a kitchen untensil.

Aside from the ridiculous price tag, I guess I don’t see the problem with these heads.

They started out with a solid cut-on-contact design, and then took the advantage of a bleeder blade (i.e. more cutting surface) and kicked it up a notch. Honestly, I can’t see why they wouldn’t penetrate just as well as a lot of the large multi-blade heads some trad shooters use every year with tremendous success.

Maybe it’s not a question of effectiveness as much as it is their “high tech”appearance?

exactly.  i bet if they were painted olive drab and were sold by zwicky, people would be stampeding them.

Hard to say, how deep will it sink? I like to use a chunk of hide over 3/8ths ply on a 3d target. It's a very crude simulation of a deer with a rib hit. I'll have to see if I can get some and road test them.

This isnt' good. Just going to add more fuel to the fire. Instead of debating if a 2,3, or 4 blade is best we'll have to add 6 blade to the debate. (Personally I'm still a 2 blade man myself)

Be interesting to see how they fly and penetrate with that much surface area/drag. I wonder if straight fletch would be the best for such a design. If some one field tests them, please post pics.

The farther you move bleeder blades away from dead center of the head, the more drag they will cause. Both in flight and penetration.

This looks like something concieved in Hollywood and marketed at flea-market knife stands.

One of the guys at the factory sent us some of the F-15 heads to shoot out of our traditional bows. This head is very well made and fly's well out of a variety of different set-ups. We shot it yesterday using a Beman MFX 500, to which I added a 100 gr. screw in wt. to get the spine correct, and arrow flight was excellent out to 50 yds. and it cut a huge hole thru a sheet of cardboard at 20 yds...Will do a little more testing when it warms back up....If you can get past the "look" of this head and are a multi-blade broadhead shooter, I personally think it would be ok.....I like and hunt with multi blades and ,so far my only concern or complaint is that it is only 100 grains. Broadheads are cool!

I like most of the ones I`ve seen. I don`t like broadheads with moving parts.

If I had these on my arrows, I`m afraid before I got to shoot something with them, I would have the extra blades removed, and use them as a two blade.

They still look cool!

Not quite sure how cutting the same vein twice is going to produce any more blood lose. On the other hand two parallel blades provides plenty of opportunity to clog with "Stuff"  I think I'll stay with a good 3 or 4 blade.
Maybe they are trying to give a critter a vasectomy?
