Some new arrows I made
« on: March 12, 2007, 11:04:00 PM »
Just wanted to show off some new arrows I made. They are Douglas Fir, stained a dark walnut, and the crown stained golden pecan.

Oh my!  Those don't look safe, I'd better take those off your hands.  For your own safety   :goldtooth: .    Nice work.

Thanks for all the kind words on the arrows.
The bow is a 64" John Strunk Spirit. Its a Hill-style glass laminated bow, with yew limbs, bubinga riser, and prairie rattler skins. Its 61@28.

Flat out awesome! The two stain colors are really enhanced by the feather splicing. Nicely done.

Those are GREAT! I really like the idea of using a barred feather for the insert instead of a solid color. I was wondering how you did it until I realized it was a barred feather.

That splicing looks like it would be hard...? Probably like a lot of things, it just depends on who's doing it!  BEAUTIFUL arrows! Mine look pretty plain next to yours. But I'm still happy with what my hands did with a bunch of turkey feathers and some paint and glue. How many years have you been making arrows? I just finished my second dozen. Sure is fun.  Great job!

Those are pretty. Just right on the colors and stripes. Those splices really add a touch of class.
