CX Heritage price hike!

I was just curious about the current price increase on the heritage series shaft from CX. It seems that only last year I could purchase a dozen shafts for $65, but now $93. Anyone one know what has caused this? Doesn't seem like the rest of the carbon world has been effected that bad.

Look around.  They're $65-$80 a dozen most places.  A local shop just special ordered them for me at $70 a dozen.

A few years ago I found the CX Terminator Hunter arrows I favor for less that $50 a dozen and I laid in a lifetime supply.  Sure glad I did!!!

I am starting to work on two new longbows.  They are 54 and 58 pounds @28, made by Jack Harrison.  His bows are pretty fast. I draw 27 and plan on 50 or 100 grain inserts w/125 heads.  

If I use the Heritage, what do you think I should try????

250's, cut 30 1/4" should do it. Same poundage as I shoot, give or take a couple.

Thank's Froggy.  Following is a reply I got from CX.  I wanted to confirm it with someone who has actually done it.

The reason you are having a hard time finding the terminator hunter 4560's is because they have been discontinued for a couple years.  I would recommend using our Heritage 250 as that arrow is the same weight but a little bit stiffer spine.  The old terminator hunter 4560's where a .388 spine the Heritage 250 is a .373 spine.

LKH, shoot the 150s cut to 28.5"s with 175 up front out of the 58#er and shoot 225 on them out of the 54#er. The 250 will be stiff unless like said above ya leave them way long and why would ya want over 3"s of arrow sticking out front the back of the bow! Shawn

Best to get a test kit to see what flys best from your bow.  I've been shooting a CX250 cut at 29" with a 50 grain brass insert and 145/175 grain points out of my 55 and 60 lb Tomahawk longbows for the last 7 years.  150s cut like that are too weak.  Each bow is a little different, try the both. dino
