If ya cut it slow and did not heat it up toooo much . You should be fine. I cut and dip and cut slow. When I cut more them one balde say from a big ole clever thats when it get spooky. Ya gotta make your own edge and gotta be real carful on the sander not to over heat the blade. WARNING: MAKING CheatR knives can become habit forming
. Now ya gotta post pics when it's done.<><

Listen to Frank . . . He's got it down . . .
If it's too hot to hold, you're risking losing the temper. Keep a bucket of water near by & keep dipping the blade as you grind it.

I wish I had a plasma cutter.Been trying to tell my boss we need one of them at work.LOL If ya use one just make sure ya cut past were you are going to make your edge. Should be about a 1/2"? When I cut a blade from a ole knife I use a air die cutter and make short cuts and then cool it down.If you are going to use the edge that is already on the knife you can use the plasma cutter to cut the knife out. The edge will be fine. Here is one I made and had for sale but shell stoled it after I added the antler to the cocobolo handle.LOL. It has the original edge and all I had to do was cut the handle out.<><
