Pictures from Northwest Archery (Year 2000)

I was digging in my old photos and found these pictures from a trip i did with my wife while we were dating. I knew i had to marry her when she was cool enough to take a trip to Northwest Archery with me.  I spent a short hour in the store.  Talked to Joe St Charles, bought a few collectible broad heads and Glen St Charles's book.  I was to chicken to ask to meet Mr St Charles.  Sure wish that place was still around.

I loved that place.      

The site is now a strip mall with pizza joints and other stuff.   :(  

Since I live only a few miles from there, I used to stop by two or three times a week to make sure my credit card still worked.   :rolleyes:

It was a cool place.
 I was there once and it was Glens birthday he was signing one of his books and I spent some time talking with him. I asked him about all of his mounted game heads and he made the comment that back when he was hunting a lot there was so much game that all one had to do was shoot an arrow up in the air and when it came down you would have something.
He took the elk in your picture just a few miles from my house.
I miss that shop to.

Jack, I was in Seattle on business a few years ago, and stayed an extra day to go by the shop and buy some things.  I called ahead and checked his schedule as to when he would be up and around.  We visited for about three hours and he signed his book for me.  Great experience and an awesome museum.  He had a story behind every quiver, and almost every bow. Every now and then you just end up at the right place at the right time.  It was great.

For years I used to work about 15 minutes from Northwest Archery. Been there many times. That store was an institution. Sure miss it.
