Hey J.D.!  i cannot wait to put my hands on this bow!  It is beautiful.  It will always have a special significance to me. Your post in January about your new take-down came at a special time for me.  My wife had been in the neuro icu unit for a little over 3 weeks with a brain aneurysm suffered at the young age of 49.  i had spent every day & nite with her.  Thru the help of a friend i was able to get hooked up with a laptop so i could log onto Tradgang.  Having to decide riser woods, etc. and pm'ing you back and forth gave me a break from the intensity of what was going on with my wife's recovery.  Now thanks to the positive thoughts and prayers from a lot of the members here and thru out the world, i have a new bow (almost) & a wife who is almost 100% completely recovered!  The doctors say she will have a complete recovery within the next month!  Thanks guys and girls and J.D. a special thanks to you!    :)

Great woods, great looking finish. Continued prayers for Randy's wife's full recovery and many days enjoyed together. The bow and the wife of course.

Now that grip is what I am talking about!! If I could ask, what is the measurement at the throat and around the mid palm? I can shoot anything with some meat to it!! Also love the rounded limb tip for bottom limb! Very Nice! Shawn

Shawn, i will defer to JD on that since i don't have the bow in my sweaty little hands yet!  i ordered it with the asbell grip...maybe JD is on the "board"...

Shawn-  YOu will have to have Randy measure it when he gets it.  I dont have any set circumference on the grip.  Everything is hand shaped without models.  I have made grips that I cant fit my hand around, and others that my finger is touching the middle knuckle of my thumb.  I leave that up to the purchaser.  I'm trying to leave the "custom" in custom bows.  JD

Maybe "rastaman" will bring to the plantation next year, if so I might make to give it a try.  Good looking bow man, and best wishes on your wife's complete recovery.
