Nice job!  How long is that knife?  Looks like just the right size to hang comfortable around a neck.

What kind of stitch is that you used around the edge of the sheath? Nice knife.

OK... I'll admit ignorance... I'm confused by just what is meant by "cheater knife".   someone fill me in, please.

I think a "cheater" is any knife where the maker does not manufacture/forge his own blade.

A CheatR knife is one where someone takes a knife and designs a new knife from it. Like say a butcher knife . Ya take it draw a blade design on it and cut it out and BADDA BING ya gots a whole new knife. I like to use good old butcher knives and clevers. I started making them a while back when I was to poor to buy a helle blade.LOL. Worked so well I had to come up with  a name for my new knives and thus the CheatR knife was born HAHAHA.  Been making them ever since.<><

Thanks for all the nice comments.

The stitch on the sheath is just, I think it's called a rolling stitch, and when I get to the end I just go back the other way creating the x pattern.

I have to confess I may have misunderstood the cheatr knife definition. I made this knife from an old non-carbide tipped saw blade. I cut it out with a dremel (using many tiny blades). When I finished a cut it wasn't even warm to the touch. When I ground it I kept water close by and ground it very slowly to keep it from overheating. It feels like cheating cause it was fairly easy to do and I really like the results.
The thing was pretty hard to put an edge on but it got razor sharp.
