Put the brace up to 7 5/8 and that seemed to help a bit.  I had some other shooters stand beside me when I shot, and they said it didn't sound noisy to them.  Maybe its just me.

Shot a decent 3d round considering my form, mechanics, and concentration were all in the toilet.  The Silvertip shoots a quick arrow with a lot of authority.

I have decided to order one.  Now if I could just decide what options to get......

I like the 60 inch bow, and I am drawing 29 inches smoothly.  Is there any reason I should order 62 inch instead?

This bow seemed like a rocket launcher at 55 lbs.  I cannot imagine what a 70+ lb silvertip could do!

Thanks for all the help on this thread.

Brett, Dave told me that he recommends 60" for a draw length 29" or less and 62" for over 29".

I use Mountain Muffler 12-strand strings on my FF ST. Quiets it very well. I too have had others tell me my bow was actually pretty quiet when I mentioned that I thought it was a bit loud. Dave recommended 7 1/2" to 7 3/4" brace when I boughht my first ST in '99. My latest ST delivered a couple weeks ago (same length [62"] and poundage)came with instructions recommending 7 1/4 to 7 1/2. My sweet spot on the first bow is half way in between, but shoots well at low and high end of recommended brace height. Haven't worked it out for the new bow yet.

;)     Thanks.  I'm not a big takedown fan but these Silvertips sure look nice....and the thread was getting a little stale at almost 1hr since last post.

Man, That Black Dymond beauty with the snakeskins, just "breathes" death and destruction!

The best thing about Silvertips is, that your bow can be designed from your wildest dreams, and 99 out of 100, Dave will make it happen!

Hey Sergio, keep those pics coming!   :D

The only thing that seems to help is this thread and pictures.

I feel your pain...lol

Keith, sorry, those bows aren't mine. Wish they were though! They're pics Beth had sent to help me pick limb venners. I went with Red Elm. My bow should be here around July/August or so.

For those of you waiting for a Silvertip. Good news the wait does end. Mine is due to arrive tomorrow. Charcoal riser w/flatgrain zebrawood veneers on limbs. I do however see an extra set of limbs in the future after seeing the black diamondwood and snakeskins. I also check this thread every day.
