Bjorn,

That is a stunningly nice combo of riser woods! How fortunate you are...

Awesome bows!  I personaly have not owned any with the FF option, but have owned originals and some made by Dave and there may be bows out there as good but not better.  IMO

Bjorn,
Yep, your bow was the one I referred to. Very nice. Are those LB limbs?

Thank you Kevin and Bowwild. Yes those are LB limbs. Dave dyed the Camphor to match the RSWD and added checkering-he is a true artisan and craftsman.

Okay...I have a confession to make.

I watch threads like this for fine bows...especially Silvertips. When someone like Bjorn or Felix posts a bow pic, if I like it I copy and paste it into a file. I have umm... a lot of bow pics in my files! I go to these and compare woods...layouts...overlays...stains...everything when I'm considering a new bow. I don't ever copy a bow, but I have used my files to come up with some great ideas. It's my version of a bow library!

Heres mine. Really shoots an arrow! I do shoot heavy arrows 750 gr., and the bow really handles that well.

Thank you md126.
RSWD limb veneers and Dymondwood riser dyed to match. I didn't checker the grip-the riser is small and the finish is not slippery.

Bjorn, nice looking bow.  I like the color of it.  I was wondering why it wasn't checkered until I saw your post.  I kinda wish Dave's limb tips were a little more pointed.

I have owned 4 Tips. I loved them all and hunt exclusively with a 2008 TD Recurve that I lovingly call Rosie because of the Rosewood riser and limbs. I have killed 4 deer with this latest tip and it is a rocket.

Walnut riser, Bocote veneers, antler tips and knobs.

First Tip ever and I am done looking for "MY" bow. Best bow I have ever had i my hand.

Thanks for the RSWD pictures Bjorn!  I like a dark bow with highly figured grain.  I'm thinking now about RSWD with Coco flares in the riser and two sets of limbs; RSWD and Coco veneered. Or, I wonder if a set of limbs backed with RSWD and Faced with Coco would look like (or vice-versa).  I feel like I have to have RSWD in the riser because I want FF and I'm having the bow drilled for a plunger-style springy rest.

I currently own two Tips myself. A one piece, and a takedown. I talked to Beth awhile back about another one piece, maybe I will have to get something going.
I guess I have that Silvertip bug!
