Anyone know where to get a hide or two?
« on: February 25, 2009, 07:11:00 PM »
Hey guys -
I'm in the market for a decent coyote/fox/badger/bobcat/deer hide. I need it tanned, but it doesn't have to have the face, tail, or feet. I just want it to make a back quiver for my hunt next month.
If anyone knows of a company/website/taxidermist that has one or two and that doesn't charge an arm or a leg, would you let me know?   :saywhat:

Look in the Leather goods classifieds here. There are usually a few up for sale.

I agree with Diamondback.  While I was in college in Moscow, I bought many hides for my projects at Moscow Hide and Fur.

Mike Yancey at Pine Hollow Longbows sells tanned hides. Reminds me I need to call him about one.
