I like industrial strength Velcro with the sticky back. Just cut to shape, peel and stick! Use the fuzzy part.

I second the Velcro. Very tough and also quiets your draw.

I've been using Seal skin for the last couple of years now. This stuff is quiet and tuff.  Holds up very well and I do a ton of shooting all year round.
I reckon so

On my longbows and selfbows I prefer leather. I use a little Barge cement to hold them on.

My favorites are beaver tail or ostrich leg leather.  Both are extremely tough and slick.

calves skin or seal skin. Velcro the soft side is just to noisy. I can hear my arrow being drawn back. And so can the deer. But then I hunt from the ground and they get very close.<><

I'm a velcro user also.  The deer I shot from the ground didn't seem to br able to hear it, even the one I shot at 8 feet.

If you can hear an arrow drawing on velcro you need to address your arrows. They are rough or something.Wax them with a little car wax and get them smooth and you will not hear anything. Some arrow finishes drag on anything but a good wax will make them a lot better and make it easy to clean the blood off when the time comes. jmo
