How do the two differ? Is the original Shrew remarkable different in shooting characteristics? Is it a forward handle bow? Thanks!

Yes, the older Shrew is remarkably different. The Newer Super Shrews by both John and Gregg are both Light years ahead of the 1st Generation Shrews. Thats just my Opinion. I have had two of the First Gen. and 4 of the Newer Super Shrews.

I just picked up a Super Shrew Gold from Ron and I have to say..... This is the absoluted quietest bow I've ever shot in my life, bar none.
