I just don't know how I miss ALL the original stories on these bucks...my wife says I am ALWAYS on TradGang!

I like to try and guess where the bucks are from when I don't know...I guess Missouri.

That's a nice'n for sure!

What are the G2's on that?  Look like about 10 to 11 inches.

I like to guess just like Steve only I like to guess score.  I don't get fancy and try to add it up by guessing actual measurements other than maybe longest tines length.  I'm guessing this one will crowd 140?  That's just a "gut" guess.

So, what's the story on the hunt?
Dave

I've come to believe that the keys to shooting well for me are good form, trusting the bow to do all the work, and having the confidence in the bow and myself to remain motionless and relaxed at release until the arrow hits the mark.

Hey ya'll, this is Daniel's big brother Cal and I am proud of him, it was a great hunt and a great buck. THe buck is some where in the mid to high 130's I believe as an 8 pt which is hard to do. The hunt was captured perfectly on video by us this past year in Illinois as well as several other great bucks in Michigan, Illinois and Indiana. Daniel, myself (Cal), and our other brother Jonathan (who was the real killer this past year) our going to be coming out God willing with a stickbow video with our best hunts being featured. We hope to come out with it next year after next season wraps up. I'll make sure by brother Daniel gets back on here and gives some more details about the hunt for this buck and the equipment used, but I know the bow he used was a Whisper Stick.
Later,
Cal

Mr Dave has it about right, the ol' guy grossed a hair under 140'' did get some sweet footage of the whole hunt thanks to my buddy Tom who was filming over my shoulder. The quick story is i was hunting my favorite spot in illinois on oct 31, had this buck show up at about 150 yards, I started to call at him and over the following 15 minutes we exchanged snort wheezes 3 times he got real mad started scraping and looking around for the buck(me) finally he came on a string right to the base of my tree at about 10 yards, I came to full draw let'm have it, the real crazy thing is as soon as i shot, a bigger 160 class 10 point came out of nowhere and chased the buck i shot. I was using my
50# whisperstik shooting 200 grain abowyer heads, he had real nice g2's that were 11 1/2'' I was pretty pumped, thanks for all the congrats. One more note, I filmed my my buddy Tom shoot a 160'' 12 point that was a real bruiser, i think his pic is on acs's web site

Cool! I guess I guessed pretty good on that one.  I was starting to doubt myself after some of the other posts with lower guestimates but figured my first instinct is usually pretty close.

By the way, it must be nice to hunte where you can have the opportunity at two great bucks in a single outing.  You're a lucky guy.

i just got my asat before last hunting season, I did get my camo at day one, the guys there were awesome to work with, i'm tall so they made my wool pants and pullover custom for me, and man is it nice to sit in, especially when it gets cold. Me and my bro's are very blessed with some good hunting spots, there are a few good ones around. I'd also like to say thanks to the guys who put my pic up there, it's very cool and an honor to say the least, so thank you very much you guys rock.
