New look Maddog pup recurve for '09
« on: March 02, 2009, 11:51:00 AM »
I've not change the pup recurve design in about 4 years and it was time to make new forms so I came up with this...

I redesigned the pup recurve with a thinner riser with less curve on the back, resulting in more limb than before giving it about another inch of draw.  This one is purple heart, action 'boo cores and black glass, 36" long, and 22# @ 20" (it's the prototype, it came out a bit heavy)

unbraced,

That's a fine looking bow. If I was kid, I sure would save up my nickels and dimes to get me one.    ;)

Great looking bow Mike.  I'm going to need one as some point.  My grandson just turned 5 months old. Can't wait until he is old enough to start shooting with me.

Mike. I just got the pup yu sent me for my daughter karen. The "cupid Bow". is it from the new design or one of the last from the "classic" design. It looks great and I can't wait to give it to her on Thursday. It is her birthday and the bow and quiver I got from Mike at MAL is a real cool combination.

One more thing, I've had some requests for this bow, I don't sell my successful prototypes, I figured I'd better get that outta the way, sorry.

But you can contact me and I'll make you one.

Mike, I sure like the looks of your prototype. I promised my nephew a bow. I may be in touch. Shadow
