Its not the size of the animal you hunt that matters. Its how you hunt the animal.

WESTBROOK, could you describe how you are getting 600grains with a 150?  Sounds like something that would work great for me...Mike

Shot in the dark, but XX75-2317 sounds about right for aluminum.  Would need inserts for carbon.  Haven't played with wood in a while to be able to judge, but there used to be these shafts of 'forged wood' available that would probably make the 600+ mark easy enough.
Shooting with feeling since 1976 & luvin' every minute of it.

Thanks Dad!

Not sure, but I would love to buy a grain scale someday to find out just what my arrows weigh.

9. Thought of adding fishing line or what not to make it 10 or 11 but I just remain unconvinced its being a 9 or 10 gpp will make a difference in a kill/not kill.

I wouldnt worry too much about what weight in its own right beyond getting the bow to shoot quiet.(Although if you shouldnt be going under 9 gpp unless you really understand what your doing in which case you probably wont go that low)

I would be more concerned with
-tuning
-getting arrows that dont break
-getting a high FOC(which ties into tuning)
Wherever you went - here you are.
